Pupils in the bilingual Progymnasium work towards admission to the bilingual upper school of the Gymnasium.
Teaching in the bilingual Progymnasium comprises the same subjects as in the monolingual Progymnasium and also follows the principle of immersion. German-language and the English-language subjects are taught by native speakers. Instead of Latin, maths, German, French and English are taught in depth, and textile and three-dimensional design are also part of the curriculum. Pupils’ performance is assessed on a specifically Progymnasium basis.
The bilingual education in the Gymnasium is completed with the bilingual Matura, which is federally recognised. This enables access to universities in Switzerland and abroad
