The "Zukunftsklasse"

Closer to practice, closer to life: The Matura is to be updated. Most schools try to do this by overloading the already full curriculum with extra duties. The FGZ has a different, forward-looking approach: the "Matur+".

"Matur+" stands for: inspiring modules, big ambitions, curiosity and thirst for knowledge, theory and practice, experience in research and placements, independent thinking and, above all, action.

Learning requires exchange

Education in the future will connect the school with the world. You bring your practical experience back to the FGZ so that the school can develop further – with new contacts and new insights, with inspiration for lessons and with pupils who are better equipped for the future.

A new learning culture

The "Zukunftsklasse" offers pupils exciting opportunities. In addition to gaining insights into various professional fields and fields of study, they acquire important life skills such as critical thinking, an inquiring mind, a sense of responsibility and creativity.

Teachers can play an active role and design their own modules. Together with the pupils, they immerse themselves in research and practice and take on a new role by accompanying the "Zukunftsklasse" as equals on their educational journey.

For whom is the "Zukunftsklasse" designed?

Curiosity and a sense of responsibility are prerequisites for autonomy in the learning process. The "Zukunftsklasse" and "Matur+" are for pupils in classes 5 and 6 who are prepared to work on some of the Matura subject matter independently.

In return, you will gain invaluable experiences and have the opportunity to test and expand your Gymnasium-level knowledge in practice.
