School costs

The school association for Freies Gymnasium Zürich (Schulverein für das Freie Gymnasium Zürich) is guided by business principles and uses tuition fees to finance the running of the school. The association does not receive any financial contributions from the canton. Tuition fees depend on the education path. In addition, there are one-off and annual ancillary costs.

Additional costs

Lunch in the school canteen for V6 and all 1st classes compulsory: per year CHF 1,800 Classes 1 to 6 are expected to incur annual ancillary costs (school materials, textbooks, trips, excursions) of approx. CHF 1,000 to CHF 2,000. The first tuition invoice for classes 1 to 6 includes a flat-rate printing and copying fee of CHF 100 per school year. This includes print credit of CHF 20 on the personal student card.
