The FGZ works on the basis of a strong community. This togetherness extends beyond completion of the Matura.
Alumni return to school on special occasions such as Homecoming Day or for reunions with their Matura year, share their ties to university, culture and business, and cultivate friendships that last a lifetime.
The Alumni Association of the Freies Gymnasium Zürich is an association of former students who remain connected to their school even after graduation. The association was founded in 1925.
Its aim is to promote exchange between former and current members of the FGZ, strengthen the network, and give the association visibility, dynamism, and relevance. The Alumni Association is a vibrant community that cultivates and promotes personal encounters, professional exchange, and solidarity with the FGZ.
After leaving the FGZ, every graduate is a member of Alumni FGZ free of charge for four years. From the fifth year onwards, a contribution of CHF 50 is charged to cover expenses. It is possible to join at any time. Around 1,500 former students are already members of the Alumni FGZ association. Become a member too and register today.
